Google Launches New Hub to Support Small Businesses

Google Marks 25 Years of Small Business Support

On September 24, 2025, Google announced the launch of a new online resource hub aimed at helping small businesses thrive in the digital age. This initiative comes as Google commemorates a quarter-century of providing digital tools and advertising solutions to entrepreneurs worldwide.

AI-Powered Tools and Resources

The new hub, accessible at g.co/smallbusiness, features a suite of AI-powered resources designed to streamline marketing and business operations. Through offerings like Google Ads, Business Profile, and Merchant Center, Google aims to make advanced digital tools accessible to businesses that may not have large marketing teams or technical expertise. According to Google, 82% of small businesses attribute their revenue growth directly to digital advertising, while 79% say these tools enable them to compete with much larger companies.

Highlighting Entrepreneurial Success Stories

Google’s announcement also spotlighted three small businesses that have leveraged its digital tools to achieve significant growth:

  • Louisiana Crawfish Company: Founded in 1985, this family-run business transitioned from wholesale-only to a nationally recognized brand after adopting Google Ads in 2002. The move helped them reach crawfish enthusiasts across the U.S.
  • My Medic: After a family tragedy, the Udy family launched a company selling first-aid kits. Digital advertising and YouTube tutorials enabled them to expand from local trade shows to a nationwide audience.
  • VIM & VIGR: Michelle Huie started her compression sock business from her basement. Leveraging Google Ads, she grew the company into an international operation, shipping to customers around the world.

Democratizing Digital Growth

Google emphasized that its digital tools help level the playing field for small businesses, enabling them to reach customers and operate efficiently despite limited resources. The company stated, “Technology democratizes access to faster and smarter ways of working,” underscoring its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs for the next 25 years and beyond.

Looking Ahead

With the launch of this new hub, Google aims to further empower small businesses to grow, compete, and innovate in an increasingly digital marketplace. The company invites entrepreneurs to explore the platform and utilize its AI-driven resources to help turn passion projects into thriving enterprises.
